Since the alpha technique is the same no matter the pattern, any simple alpha could be good! Any pattern with 2-3 colors and under 12ish base strings could be good (10 is a good number I think). If you are trying to get your technique with switching colors down then maybe choose something that switches colors kind of often! Maybe find a pattern that you like enough to enjoy it if you finish but don't care if you mess up a little and scrap it once you get the technique down!

#1654 could be a good beginner! It has only two colors, 7 base strings and is a cute enough design.

You can look up ones with under 5 colors and under 5 difficulty 🙂

I recommend filtering alphas to 10 strings and under for your first few alphas
