snapped base string on alpha :/

So I’m making a alpha bracelet and I finally learned how to do a triangle end and I messed up by putting two much of the color for the letter and had to take out like 4 knots. As I was unknotting the last knot it got knotted with the base string, it took me forever to try to unknot it but in the process of doing so the base string snapped and it still has a bit of length. But I don’t want to trash it because I’ve gotten half way and it looks so good. Is there anything I can do to add in a base string or something?

You can add in the string again I recommend watching Masha knots video on flat alpha bracelets on YouTube just search up “flat alpha bracelet tutorial”

@JdenFalcon this probably isn't the best way to fix base strings but i just tape the string down behind the bracelet and carry on like normal however you have to be careful not to pull to tight for the first few knots on that string as it can pull out 😊
