I have been making bracelets for about a year, and the most strings I have done are 12, but I'm scared to start doing more strings! Do yall know of any good ones to start moving up with? Like 14 or 16 strings maybe? Thanks so much!

Do you prefer alpha patterns or normal patterns?

No problem! I think KrazyKnotz has some good patterns as well that are 16 strings and use the straight edges technique!

I think I'll try #25162. I just started watching the tutorial. Nothing better to do during quarantine!

When I was new at friendship bracelets, I made a candy stripe that had something like 20+ strings in it. It was crazy and super long to make at the time, but it helped making it a lot less scary to take on big projects!

I would recommend doing pattern #26401 it is a relatively easy pattern and it has 14 strings. It is also a good bracelet to segment knot as well if you would like.

I’ve seen these Alpha patterns where you have to add a string? How does this work?

@KirLo04If you go to any alpha pattern on the website (idk if on the app too) there's a video linked that explains how you make alpha patterns. If it isn't linked in the app go on YouTube and search for MashaKnots alpha. In an alpha pattern there are two types of strings: basestrings (the strings you make knots on) and the leading string (the string you make knots with). The colour of the leading string determines the colour of the knot. To change the colour you fold your old leading string behind the bracelet and put a new leading string in its place and carefully continue knotting with it. |

@awesomeglk honestly you shouldn't be that scared to move up to bigger bracelets. I first started with like 8 strings and 12 strings, and then all of a sudden I jumped to doing 24 strings, then 34 strings. They may seem intimidating, but the two I've done are just really easy, but just a bigger version. The two patterns are #24520 and #25054. Masha Knots or @Racoon also has good tutorials on these two bracelets. Also a good 16 String bracelet would always bee #33657.

I'll definitely try those in the future, but I think next I'm going to do a 16 string to at least get closer to 24 and 34 (wow). Thanks @tennistime
