You can for example braid the left over strings or twist them.

I know this might not help but I like to not do anything with the ties and just leave them but if you do this I recommend doing triangle ends at the end of your bracelet. And then when you tie it around your wrist you just take the strings and tie like normal!

i usually make triangle ends and either twist them (if number of strings is divisible by 2) or braid them (if the number of strings is divisible by three)
