Hello! So it is my first time attempting the straight edges technique, but I want to start the bracelet with the triangle end and I’m a little confused, and I don’t exactly know how to word this. Do I include the edge strings in the triangle or leave them out?

Masha Knots (@Racoon) has a really cool video on triangle ends that I found pretty helpful 👍🏼

@afc610 yep! I’ve watched hers and a couple of others. I don’t know if the way I worded the question was clear, but I don’t understand how to start a triangle end when there are the two extra edge strings. Now I’m just confusing myself🤣

If you imagine your triangle the extra string is the last string both on the left and the right side. You include it in your triangle end like you usually would any other string and treat it like the last string.

You didn't ask for it but that's how I understood your question originally: you can start the straight edges technique in the triangle ends already. What you need to do is make bf knots on the left instead of f knots and fb knots on the right instead of b knots.

how do you do a fb or bf knot on a triangle end? Like say you have 6 strings on each side.... would the 5 strings do the fb or bf know onto the outward one?

@KirLo04 no, you take one string and make a bf or fb knots onto the other five strings

Yeah that’s what i do, but to do the straight line technique would you just start that after the triangle?

@KirLo04 You can do, or the preferred way is to make the backward-forward, and forward-backward knots (to get the straight edge) as you are doing the triangle end and the continuing that throughout the bracelet (or whatever it is you are making. 🙂
