I’ve had this problem before too. Sometime I find that this happens because I made the knots of the adjustable part to tight. Sometimes though you just have to break them in

Did you use a loop or tie the ends together... If you tied the ends together with an added string, you can very carefully try to untie it with a pin, or carefully cut the added string. When I've had this problem is is because I tied my knots too tight. Also, if you are looking to find different strategies for going forward, there are some great tutorials on youtube from Mashaknots and Kinseyb. I hope this helps 🙈

@ecote8 i watched Kinseys tutorial a couple days ago and i already tried it a couple times (i was practicing with yarn lol) i even tried it with a bracelet it also was tight and i dont remember what i did (i think i pulled it) and i guess it became loose) but this one is just too tight. (And only kinsey has a tutorial not masha😞😝)

When I tie mine to tight I usually just take a small pair of scissors and cut the adjustable part and re do it. That or I just keep pulling the braids ( or whatever end u made) until it loosens on its own. Hope this helped

@Racoon_Val I was trying to explain that both Kinsey and Masha share different ways to end bracelets. Masha talks about twisted ties a lot 🙂

I have an adjustable bracelet that I got on vacation somewhere and it has a bead to make it adjustable! you just thread the ties from the opposite ends of the bracelet and then tie knots at the end of the ties so the bead cant fall off!

Ya I watched kenseys ( lol can't seem to spell her name right) video and it seemed like it would work but every time that I try twisted ties the "twisted" part of them always seems to get a bit loose which I really do not like are there any ways to make the twist stay a little better?

@colorqueen on my first bracelet that i tried making adjustable i did twisted ties..it came out too tight so i literally just pulled on it and yes my ties did seem to get loose (i did twisted ties) i dont really know how to answer ur question and im really sorry BUT i would try to make the ties for yout twisted ties tighter and make thr knot tighter. I dont know if it will work but u can give it a try and i will investigate on how i can answer your question(s) properly and ill let u know!😀

To fix the loose ties I just twist the halves tighter and then twist the 2 together a little tighter and then tie a tight knot! @colorqueen

@Racoon_Val I try to explain it better. So you have your bracelet and then you have the two ties on each side. The one I have has twisted ties but I’m sure braided would work too. Then you take the bead and put on tie through it (so say your starting with the tie on the left side of the bracelet you thread it through the bead going to the right.) then you take the other tie and thread it through the bead the other direction. (So you take the tie on the right side and thread it through the bead going to the left.) keeping it flat so the ties kind of crossover just like they do when you knot it to make it adjustable. Does that make sense?

@taelor yeah it does but to adjust it u would do it like u normally would right just pulling it but how would u make the bead stay in place??

@Racoon_Val you just have to make sure the bead is tight enough on the ties that it will stay but loose enough you can still adjust it. It probably won’t stay as well as a knitted adjustable closure would so you might have to tighten it a little more often but it still works!
