I recommend checking out Masha Knots on YouTube, she has amazing videos for beginners. As for patterns I recommend starting off with a stripe bracelet (#1) or a Chevron bracelet (#2)

Definitely check out some youtube videos, check out the forum...if you can't find a pattern, I like to look at the pictures people are posting to see what looks cool, its hard for me to get a sense just looking at the patterns. Feel free to message me if you need help!
