I want to write a tutorial on the normal pattern generator since lots of people ask about it on here and are confused by it.What are the questions you'd like to be answered in it? The tutorial won't be about how to create a specific pattern but more about the functions of the pattern generator and issues there might be. |

I was wondering how to put more than 2 colors. When i put more than 2 colors it just disappears 🤨 . I know i should know this but nobody has told me how and i still can't figure it out. 😂 🙂

@bunnyknots you have to write the order of the strings or it won't work: eg: a a b b a a . This will let the generator know you are using those colors. Hope this helps! 🙂

@bunnyknotsYou can add more colors by writing colour codes in the boxes under "colors used". Each box has a letter. The first is a, the second b, the third c and so on. In the white box under "colors order" you write the letters in the order you want your colors to be at the start. The amount of letters is also your amount of strings. In the box under "knots" you write your knots. If you don't write enough knots the last strings will disappear when you click save. If you have too many knots more strings of colour a will appear at the end. You can calculate the amount of knots you need easily. For a pattern with an even amount of strings you need half that amount of knots in the first row and half minus one in the second row. For a pattern with an uneven amount of string the amount of knots you need is the amount of strings minus 1 divided by two in each row. The amount of rows in total always has to be even. I hope this didn't cause more confusion. |
