Hi all,I was just curious that if one were to open a bracelet shop (on Etsy or online) if they can make a pattern that they didn’t create or another person that already has an Etsy shop sells. (Sorry if my message doesn’t seem grammatically correct XD because quarantine is making me crazy lol |

Ok so I’m going to try to word it better lol but what I was trying to say is that if someone were to open an Etsy or online shop, can that person sell something that was not the owner’s original idea or somebody else on Etsy already sells?

I'd say it dependsIf it's patterns like candystripe, chevron, arrowhead etc I don't see why there should be a problem If it's a more complicated alpha pattern I'd ask the original creator |

Like for example if I wanted to make a starburst ( I didn’t create the starburst and also Alex from Alex’s innovations sells it, would I still be able to sell it?

I think it's probably okay, but you should give credit to the person who designed the pattern. Like say what pattern number it is and who made it.
