Hey!
I wanna try my 1st alpha soon, and was wondering what alpha pattern would be a good first one.
Thank you!!😁😻

@KrazyKnotz has a forum topic on easy beginner alphas. I think it’s under hints👍🏼

My recommendation is something with less than 10 basestrings and maybe 2 to 3 colours. You could filter the patterns by that criteria.

Something like #27305 would be suitable. Pretty much any pattern no more than 12 base strings, and uses 2 colours are best to practice with.
You can filter those patterns out under the 'Patterns' tab.

Try something simple with just a few colours (2-3) and not too many base strings. I recommend trying letter patterns to begin with so you can get used to typing alphas and switching colours.

If you want to get used to the technique of knotting onto stings instead of knotting together the strings like normal patterns I would definitely try a simple rag rug because it gets you used to attaching stings to a bracelet but also it’s very simple to understand.
