I just got this app today and my only experience in bracelet making is forward knots and I don’t understand any of these patterns. HELP!!

@chow Welcome! To make most of the patterns you’ll need to learn at least one more type of knot. I would recommend watching a video on YouTube to learn how to make them, or look up an image of types of knots for bracelets. There are also some videos explaining how to make simple patterns, so that might help as well. I know that many people recommend Masha Knots on YouTube for tutorials. Good luck!

Check out pattern#1 and pattern #2. They are literally the easiest possible bracelets to make. Plus, with #2 you also learn backward knots. Hope this helps!🦁🦁🦁

Hey, welcome to the world of bracelets!😄I agree with everything that has been said so far. With both patterns #1 and #2 there are plenty of tutorials online that you can use as a guide, they're the best two patterns to begin with if you've never made a bracelet before. Once you are comfortable with them and want something different or more of a variety, if you go to the 'Patterns' tab, and filter the patterns by 'Normal' and sort them by 'Oldest' you'll get a lot of beginner friendly patterns that way. |

You can also sort the patterns by difficulty. Only the older patterns are rated by difficulty but you'll find some easy ones this way too. Another recommendation is to not do too many strings in the beginning. When you search for patterns you can also determine how many strings you want.

Bracelet #1 is only forward knots. Once you learn backward knots, try #2 😃

If you only know forward knots, I definitely recommend that you learn and practice the backward, forward backward, and backward forward knots so you have a wide range of patterns that you can make on this website. It's a process to learn how to make friendship bracelets, so take it all slow and steady. Happy knotting!!

So all those patterns that i suggested were forward and backward knots! i'm sorry i didn't realize But if you wanna make them you should Go to Mashaknots (@Racoon) and look at all her begging tutorials like - how to make all the basic knots - how to read patterns (like the ones on this website) - tutorials for beginners bracelets, advanced bracelets, and intermediate if you follow her tutorials you'll be an advanced or even intermediate don't forget to patient and never give up! Good luck on your bracelet journey! it will be fun! 😊 |

Try pattern #1 first, but reading the pattern that way you can learn. Then try pattern #2 so you can learn backward knots (which are the exact same as normal knots but backwards) then look for another old pattern you you like and try that, also watch Masha Knots’ video on the basic knots!
