Nope, just wet for a while, it might not feel pleasant for a bit but the bracelet will be fine, a lot of people wash there bracelets

It won't get ruined completely if you shower. They may loose colour after a while but that (in my opinion) adds character to the bracelet. If you tend to take your bracelets off and on, then you may find the longer you wear it, the harder it is to remove because water ends up making the knot almost impossible to undo, but then if you think about it that's perfect because traditionally they are supposed to be kept on until they fall off😜. The only thing to really be aware of is that some strings tend to bleed when they get wet. You might end up distorting the different colors but some people like that for aesthetic reasons. 🙂 |

From my experience, depending on the thread you use, the colors may fade and/or bleed (especially if there is a dark color next to a light). Also, make sure after you're done showering to mash off any soap or shampoo/conditioner that may have gotten onto it so it doesn´t smell or feel greasy!

It might make it look worn/sort of pill or fray a little bit, but as other people have said, it looks fine with that. I’ve worn bracelets for over a month and gone swimming with them and although the color does sort of fade a bit, it looks fine. 😊
