You have to be on the website to do that. Hover over your name and a tab will drop down that says ‘create pattern.’ Click that and you can choose to make a normal or aloha pattern 👍🏼

You can only make patterns on the website. If you hover over you profile there's the option 'create patterns'. When you click it you will be shown a section of normal and one of alpha patterns.When you start a new pattern you will start with a two-coloured candystripe for the normal and with an alpha that says Alpha (for the alpha pattern logically...). For the normal pattern you can start by choosing your colours and number of strings and then add f, b, fb and bf knots. For the alpha you can either draw one, make one from a picture or write it. If you need more specific info, just ask 🙂 |

you have to select and add new colors in the typing part, but once you do, just select a color and click on the pixels 🙂

Don't forget to click save when you're in draw mode @hikingsd otherwise your progress will be lost if you switch to a different mode

Thank you all ! I was able to create a pattern but it’s HUGE. Do I need to start over or can I shrink it somehow?

@hikingsd you cannot shrink patterns in the alpha pattern generator. My recommendation for you is to instead of working completely in the pattern generator you get yourself an app you can create pixel art with and use the alpha from picture options then. Pixel art apps often have more options than the pattern generator itself. I use dotpict to draw my patterns.
