Hi everyone ! Hope you’re doing okay with the current situation...So I wanna start a bracelet but I have no idea how long I have to cut my embroidery floss. I guess it does not really vary according to the pattern, but is there a chart or an average length that you guys would recommend or use ? Thank you so much for answering ! |

@Knzntce For each individual string I use my finger tip to the edge of my opposite shoulder and do it twice and fold it Over for two strings of the same color

@Knzntce what I do is that I measure about 3/4 of my wingspan twice and fold it. it seems like a lot but I like having extra string because in my opinion, it's easier to make knots when you have more string. I always have a lot of extra but I use that for the rag rug bracelet and alfas. I hope this helped!Rag rug Bracelet tutorial 1- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enxtdlLRV24 Rag rug Bracelet tutorial 2- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Xva91uIYfs |

I use 30 inches if there is only one string of the color. If there are two or more I use 60 inches and then fold the string in half

I do a wingspan with an added inch (for the ties), and double it if I am doing a loop. @ricabriana There's two tutorials above, that are tutorials for the rag-rug, if you are interested. |
