Why are my bracelets always crooked? The pattern looks great but it’s so crooked. I even tape it down all the way as I make the bracelet.

This might have many reasons. Without seeing your bracelets it's difficult to say what might be going on. How long have you been making bracelets? With practice they will get better. |

do you mean that the bracelet curves? 🤔 this happens because you tighten the knots too little or too much. try a middle way! and then there are some patterns that by "nature" tend to curve like pattern #1! don't be discouraged and with a little practice you will see that they will come out better! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

FYI in order for others to get a notification when you say something you have to put a @ in front of their user : ) example: @mkcarrino

This can sometimes happen for a variety of reasons such as knotting tension, pattern, bracelet making experience, the way you secure your bracelet and more reasons, there may be a tutorial on YouTube that can help but it could also just be a matter of time, I remember my first bracelets being super crooked and always getting frustrated, don’t give up, you’ll get better!Hope this helps! ❤️ |

@mkcarrino A common reason for 'crooked' bracelets is how your knots are tied. What's helped me reduce that are: (1) pulling my string upwards instead of left or right when knotting; (2) make sure the first half-hitched knot is in the position I want the overall knot to be before I tie the second half-hitched knot to secure it; (3) try to be consistent in the amount of tension I put into each knot; and (4) securing my bracelet as close to my current knotting line as possible. Hope these tips help you!
