How to replace string if you run out of the color?

I’m still fairly new to bracelet making, and one of the problems I have been finding the most is that I make the strings too short and end up having to finish the bracelet early. Is there any way I can continue on making the bracelet by replacing the string somehow? If so, is there a special knot needed? Guidance would be appreciated🥲

a good way to do it is the same as an alpha color change! i would recommend masha knots flat alpha tutorial for it because i can’t explain 😭 or if someone else wants to explain with words they can
