what is segment knotting?

Segment knotting keeps coming up and i have no idea what it is.

Segment knotting is when you knot the bracelet in segments (diagonally) rather than knotting the bracelet row-by-row. Its a faster way to complete bracelets, and easier to memorize the pattern. If you've ever done Candystripe's or Chevron's chances are you've segment knotted.

If you don’t use a pattern for a chevron or candy stripe it’s like that but with all patterns and you can still use a pattern you just group a set of knots together

When you split up a pattern into different groups, or segments, and knot them in those groups. Everybody splits their segments differently as well, so it’s really great to see what everyone else does! It’s a lot faster and I prefer it highly to row by row.
