I want to learn how to do alpha patterns but all of them look really hard to do, so i would appreciate if you guys could recommend me some easy alpha patterns to start with. Also I used waxed thread for my bracelets (i think that's what you call it in English), would that work for alpha patterns? or should i use something more like yarn or something? thank you all ❤️ |

At first I also used waxed thread for the alphas (you can see my first photos) the only thing you will notice is that the pattern/drawing it's more stretched, what language do you speak? because I can suggest a couple of videos so that your pattern is not so stretched and how to do an alpha technique which they call "upside down technique" but that is if you speak Spanish, do you speak Spanish? I say so because almost all people from Argentina and South American countries use waxed thread lolsome simple patterns are: #137630 #61108 #8046 #60503 #4056 #8454 #182054 #184040 #174937 I hope they are useful to you!! Tell me if you speak Spanish so I'll tell you those videos lol |

If you haven’t made alphas before, I suggest just starting with something without a real design to follow, just to get used to making knots horizontally back and forth, until you get comfortable 😊The first is a Vertical Wave. The edges are done differently than regular alphas but it’s a really neat look. Watch a couple video tutorials (located below the photos) on #8046 Next is a Rag Rug, which is great for using up shorter scrap threads and for practicing color switches. There’s a few different styles and techniques for this one, all are pretty fun! Video tutorials on #36730 Then you could try some simple 2-color alphas. At first I recommend finding designs that don’t go all the way to the edge since changing colors on the edges can be tricky sometimes #41998 cat #159134 moon/stars #142852 fish skeleton #170545 rabbits #60503 smile #38672 waves These have video tutorials that show how to use the base strings for the second color as a different technique: #45174 tribal #45211 floral And some others I think are cute: #48856 rainbow/hearts #64141 flowers #98053 strawberry #40357 daisies |

I would say start of with a pattern that has less than 5 color changes mabey start with 2 color changes or 1. And also a thinner bracelet as well
