How to read normal patterns

Hi everyone, I’m confused on how to read normal patterns. I thought it was row by row starting from the first row like alphas, but I watched a tutorial on pattern #122659 by craftanatic on YouTube and she starts from the last row (which leads into the first row which makes sense) but is that the case with every pattern? How can I know? Thanks!

I always start at the first row because that's just easier for me, but the nice thing about normal patterns is that you can start at whatever row you want 😊

Normal patterns can be tied row by row or in segments (in diagonals). Where you start does not matter. You can base that on your preference.
