How to create your own normal patterns

I started with alpha patterns and tried my hand at making my own pattern on here! It was rather easy. I have never made a normal bracelet, and I have no idea how anyone even designs a pattern! Any help would be awesome! I cant seem to find a tutorial anywhere!

Play around with it to get a feeling for normal patterns. You can also use graph paper. |
