I’m very impatient! I get excited about a bracelet then never finish it bc it takes to long. What do I do? And how long does it normally take for y’all? Thxxxx

Maybe dedicate slots within your day where you would knot, so like an hour (or longer if you wish), and then go do another activity, and come back to it later on in the day if you wish, or just have one slot per day (entirely up to you). When your watching TV, in the ad breaks or when there's a part of the show you aren't interested in, do some knotting there too. Or watch TV/movies as you knot. Listening to music and audio-books are great too when you are knotting, for the background. With me, I can knot for hours at a time (especially now being in quarantine) because for me its an escapism; so I can finish a bracelet anywhere between 2-8 hours, less than 2 hours for much simpler patterns. |

It literally takes me so long to finish a bracelet, because i like to do the beginning, and then I start to get bored of the bracelet. I started making bracelets around 2-3 years ago, and my collection is still pretty small. To get motivated to finish a bracelet I am working on I just like to watch something or listen to music while knotting. Also finishing a bracelet is really satisfying. Recently I have started finishing my bracelets much faster while using these ideas. Another thing that helps is pushing yourself to only start a new bracelet when you only have 2 or so bracelets in your 'unfinished' pile. It also really helps to like the bracelet you are working on. I hope that this was helpful! 🙂

Maybe try doing multiple at once so you can have variety? I like alphas because they aren't so repetitive, so I would recommend maybe trying some. Also, I get bored too, so I tend to do smaller bracelets and just make a larger quantity. 😊

If there are any bracelets you really like but you get bored of them quickly knot a few rows when you sit down to knot and then do some more at the end

I have the same problem with starting patterns and then never finishing them. I've found that dedicating myself to one bracelet at a time, and not starting new bracelets without finishing the old ones helps a lot. Also setting aside specific slots to work on bracelets can help too.

Maybe make longer ties so the bracelets don’t have to be as long

Depends on the patter mostly. Have stuff going on in the background while you make it and make multiple bracelets at once so if you get bored you can switch bracelets

Sometimes it's easier to knot without getting bored by finding good inspiration that'll really motivate you. You can look at the photo section in bracelet book, or on pinterest. It's also really fun to look at color swatches to get ideas running.

It usually takes me a couple of hours. So that I don't get bored and impatient, I normally do something else while making them, like watch Netflix or something.

I stay motivated by doing a variety of bracelets, and making patterns and colours that I like really helps. Also don't push yourself to do too much at once because you're more likely to get bored

Like Sarah246 said, make multiple different patterns at once, and try to make them quite different so if you get bored of one pattern, you can move to a new one 😊 Watching Netflix or listening to music helps a lot too!
