I’m making my first alpha bracelet. I chose a pretty simple pattern with only three colors, since I’ve never done this before. I already cut the [15] base strings to dmy desired length, but now I need to cut the leading strings, and I’m not sure how long to cut them. On the grid, there are 140 red squares, 71 blue squares, and 239 white squares. How long should I cut each color? If it makes a difference, I’m using embroidery floss, so the knots are fairly small. |

I don't really know how long they need to be but since it's an alpha pattern, if you run out of thread, you can add more like when you add another color and continue working normally so I would cut a small piece of thread by eye and then add more if it's missing!...I hope you understand!! ❤️

Honestly I just keep all of my leading strings on a bobbin (the whole skein) if it’s a color that’s used a lot in the pattern. If it’s a color that isn’t being used much however, with time you’ll be able to eyeball how much you need and if you cut it too short then you can just replace the leading string in a color switch
