I’m new to bracelet making and I find that all my knots are… too long? Too wide? Idk how to describe it but it makes the design look very stretched. I’ve tried pulling the knots tighter but that’s just given me blisters. I don’t think it’s the string I use as its DMC string, which I often see suggested. It’s really starting to bother me that I can’t make a circle lmaooo I’ve got the oval curse

I don't know, it's strange that it happens with embroidery thread... because it happened to me when I used another thread that was much thicker and there it did look very stretched... but not with embroidery thread... did you make a comparison with other photos of the same pattern? maybe it was the pattern itself.. 🤔 .

If you could upload a photo of the pattern it would be better so I can see it well!! ❤️

It's natural for the knots of alpha patterns to be a little stretched lengthwise, it happens to everyone. To counteract it, you can use thicker string for the base strings or you can try to double them and see if the result satisfies you.

Also it really just takes practice. My first few alphas looked this way and now they look so good when I make them.

The bracelet looks beautiful 😍 😍 !! I imagined it more stretched... compared to others it is not very stretched! Try using multiple strings for a base string or if you have a thicker thread it would work perfectly for the base strings or just practice!! Also don't forget to tag people like this so they can receive the notification @DNGRnoodle
