if i’m segment knotting, and there is a knot between two of the same color, can i change it from, let’s say, a backward knot to a forward knot? it would make the chevron part of the bracelet flow better and easier to make if possible. i dont want to ruin the bracelet. thanks so much i’m new to segment knotting!

you can do any knot for strings that are the same color.

Yep! As long as any two strings are the same color, you can do any knot you want between them! 👍

I have a question about segment knotting vs row by row knotting. Does it make a difference in your bracelet if you use segment knotting vs row by row or will it look the same?

@aves_knots it will look the same since you do the same knots. You just do them in a different order.

Yep, if you really wanted to you could do a forward backward knot I don’t recommend it, lol. you can do whatever you want when there is a knot between two strings of the same color

@cuteknots do you have Instagram or something like that. It's easier to explain if I can send you pictures of the pattern in which I've marked the segments

@cuteknots a way that works but isn't always the most effective is when you go in v shapes. Imagine it like doing a chevron but instead of always doing f knots on the left and b knots on the right you do whatever knot the pattern says.
