I want to know what bracelets I should make. I know how to do chevrons and I'm pretty good at it. What bracelet should I aim for next?

You could try making an arrowhead like #3302 or #26033 or #1203.I also think patterns like #3240 or #7440 are good. But you can also look some up yourself, if you type the keyword simple or chevron or something like that in the filter and set the type of pattern to normal 🙂 |

I would suggest a leaf bracelet or braided stitch, those are pretty simple and similar to a chevron. Once you feel pretty comfortable with knotting, feel free to try an alpha, although I would suggest something simple, like a vertical wave (sort of an alpha), a name bracelet, or something with only a few colors. 😊

Also a boxed chevron is a good step up from chevrons and candystripes, and it helps with fb and bf knots 😊

#19110 and #273 are the braid and leaf bracelets 😊 #15234 is the vertical wave

I would recommend going into a diamond braclet next, and then maybe into other patterns when you like how the bracelet looks. The pattern for the diamond bracelet is #16, however there are also many video tutorials of how to make some other diamond bracelets. Hope this helps🙂

The first bracelet I remember successfully making after the chevron was #24938! I love that pattern and I have made it over and over. I also like #18! As long as you know all of the knot types you can try looking at difficulty numbers in the filters. I started looking for normal bracelets between 1-3 for difficulty. Also it’s up to you when you start alphas but remember it’s not going to necessarily look perfect on your first try so don’t give up! Mashaknots (@Racoon) has many great tutorials to follow as well! Good luck and happy knotting 😄

You could do bordered chevrons, or any of my patterns for the most part would probably be good for beginners with some experience in chevrons!!

you could try a braided stitch like #117 or, if you want something a little wider, a pattern like #25162. it’s basically a chevron but there is a variation for the polka dot part. i know there are a lot of great tutorials out there for those two. the braided stitch was like the third bracelet i’ve ever made and i just recently made the polka dot chevron

about alphas, since they're a different way of making bracelets, i think you should wait to start alphas until you have a steady track with normal patterns. try an alpha here and there, but dont expect it to be perfect. it took me a while to be able to do alphas 😂

You can do arrowheads or look up keywords like Crisscross and intersecting or like dots, lines, etc.
