I am making an Alpha, and I seem to be pushing base strings behind the bracelet. Like I lose the srtings behind the mess altogether so I have missed knots. Also it looks like the sides of the bracelet are detached from the rest. Is that normal? For an Alpha that has a border. Does anyone have any tips? Oh and I have watch Masha knots video.

The one alpha I have made had borders, and although the bracelet wasn't super amazing, the edges didn't really seem to be detaching from the rest of the bracelet... what number is the pattern you are working with? Maybe I can look and try and find the problem.

About the edges being detached, that’s normal as they sort of are due to the way alphas are knotted, but that will work out once you finish the pattern and the green string has full rows across. Just make sure you leave enough loose string at the back of the bracelet so the edges don’t curl under 😊 Hope This helps

Also for loosing the base strings in the mess, I’d suggest maybe making the bracelet on a piece of cardboard with slits cut at the bottom to organize the base strings if your first starting out. That way, you can clearly see all the strings. Hope that makes sense and is helpful 🙂
