Hello,I'm trying to make a soccer ball lite there is in pattern #175956 and other patterns. But the shape turn more out like an egg. What mistake am I doing? Hope you can help me 🙂 Thank you |

It is normal that alphas turn out a little elongated, because knots tend to be taller than wide.Here are some things you can attempt to counteract it: - use thicker base strings or double your base strings to make the knots wider - tie looser knots to make the knots wider - push up each row with a ruler to make the knots less tall If it all does not work, you can skip some (repeating) rows or adjust the pattern in other ways to even it out. |

Thank you very much halokiwi,I will definitely try your suggestions next time. This time (after unknotting several rows) I removed a few rows and redid it a little to get a similar look. Now I can't wait to try a new one. Just have to finish this one first. 👍 |
