How to start wall-hangings!

Hello! I just started making wall-hangings with alpha patterns but I have a specific issue. I use the straight edge technique using a back forward knot to start the wall-hanging and I notice it makes the edges not perfectly straight! It is such a small difference but I notice this doesnโt happen with the right side, only on the side I started with. Should I be making two knots to start? Thank you!!

No, only only knot. You want one bf or fb knots at the start and end of each row.
