Using patterns for other projects

How can I use these patterns for other crafts? I want to make larger pieces instead of only doing keychains/bracelets. thereโs a lot of designs that are huge with a lot of design and iโd love to do a cute tapestry or something along those lines. i just donโt know how to start it, or what to start it on? the only thing i can think of is a large wooden dowel.
