What do I do if I start running out of thread before I finish my pattern? Is there any way I can add on thread?

You can either add it like you would switch colors in an alpha, or the way I like to do it and kinda came up with myself is I use a magic knot which is fairly invisible, it can cause a little bit of weirdness but for me its easier
