What of the two same colored strings do I use to knot?

HeyyI have done one or two bracelets now, however I have always wondered how do I know which of two same colored string do I tie with and what string is just 'resting'. Especially when there are backward-forward knots I feel like this does make a difference in how the bracelets looks and leave them slightly wonky. Thanks in advance ^^ |

The arrow on the knot tell you which string to use. If it goes from top left to bottom right, the left string does the knot, and opposite for the right. For fb and bf, the string doing the knot is going in the direction of the arrow as well. But I'd say for most patterns, you can do whichever one feels better to you. Like some patterns will have a diagonal of a color and I'll do them all in the same direction no matter the knot on the pattern 🙂
