So i’ve been making bracelets for just over a month or so but an 8 sting quite simple design takes around 3 hours (if not longer) for just a normal 17/18 cm braceletdoes it get quicker once i’ve been doing it for some more time? Or is this just it? |

I never really measure cause I do one bracelet in multiple sessions, but multiple hours for sure, depending on the size and the design, maybe 3 to 10 ? Also I'm watching tv shows while knotting so I'm not focused 100%, could probably be faster.

I can make normals 10-14 strings in like an hour or two. Anything larger than that takes 3-4 hours. I’m still working on alphas though, if it’s a bracelet it takes me about 7-9 hours but that’s when I’m really focusing on the knots.

when i first started i was a little slow, just because i was making sure i got it tight and just didn’t know much. i now listen to music most of the time while doing it, but even when i dont i find myself doing it pretty quickly for a simple, easy to memorize pattern. i feel like eventually as you do more patterns and get used to the knots you’ll get used to it.

Depends on the person.

Depends on the person, the size and complexity of the pattern, how your string behave, and how experienced you are with knotting. Most of the time, the more practice you've had, the faster you will get at it.

I think a little over 3 hours is a decent amount of time as a beginner. I think you will get faster at making them once you’re more experienced however it’s better to take your time to avoid making mistakes. Also patterns with a lot of segments knots are more likely to get done faster.

You’ll get faster as you practice. Also keep in mind alphas and 1212 patterns will take longer. Amount of strings plays a big role as well
