Because i need more string but on the ones i have it didn’t say how thick the string was and some random cheap pack on amazon doesn’t say how thick it is either. Plus i’d like some extra black and white and the one i was interested in DIDN’T SAY EITHER. And on here i always see people saying that you should use the same type and thickness of string so its not gonna be bumpy or anything but HOW bumpy is bumpy?

It depends on how different the string is.Especially in alphas it can make the pattern quite uneven. In alphas it is even recommended to only use string by the same brand because even a small difference already has a big effect. In normals it is less noticeable, but again, it depends on how different the thickness is. |

The reason for the unevenness/bumpiness is that the knots will have different sizes. If you want to combine threads by different brands, maybe you can knot a little test swatch exclusively with one brand and then compare the test swatches by the different brands. |
