Hi, I'm new here does anyone have beginersfriendly normal patterns for bracelets? And how long should you cut your rope?

Some beginner patterns I recommend are: #1 (candy stripe) #2 (chevron) #18 (arrowhead) and #150 (hearts). As for string length, @halokiwi has a tutorial on that in the tutorial section of braceletbook. Hope this helps! 🩵

If you’ve never tied a bracelet before, I recommend just tying an overhand knot (leaving a bit of space at the top-4 in or 10 cm) and then just starting your bracelet. When you finish, tie another overhand knot and braid both ends. If you have tied a bracelet before, then I recommend watching Masha Knots videos on starts and ends for normal patterns. She has a wide variety of videos that cover a lot of techniques.

You have to go to the website, log in, click on your name at the top, and there should be a few options. I don’t remember all of them but create a pattern should be one. You can do it on your phone or a computer.

@-LOUISE-It will take less than a day to be reviewed. Ranking up is based on activity. The more active you are and the more valuable your actions are, the faster you'll rank up. Just being online already contributes to ranking up. |

Hey! I was wondering if anyone else has run into the issue where when they make a normal pattern bracelet with a boarder on it (forward backward knot on one side and backward forward knot on the other side) consistently throughout the pattern the edges of the bracelet curl inwards? If you've run into this issue before I would love some advice on how to fix this (are my knots to tight, not tight enough, etc?). Thank you so much!

@fr_l01 try pulling your knots tighter. It's especially important to pull the first half of your knot tight. The first half determines the placement of the knot, the second half secures it in place.
