I have seen people sell bracelets made of a plastic-like string that they claim is water resistant and long lasting. Does anyone know what kinds of string are waterproof or water resistant?

it is called wax-coated or just wax string, and you can find it on etsy, amazon, shein, etc (think of pura vida bracelets)
