Hi! I was wondering if itโs possible to turn all braclets with a like design+background pattern into chains? For example 168521 has a lemon and then some background for its pattern, would u be able to turn it into a chaining lemon without changing the pattern of the lemon? if not then what are the limitations to turning designs into chains? (also how do you guys determine how much string to use when chaining? i wanna try a pattern but im not sure how much string to use for the strings that are making the design versus the string thatโs chaining)

Yes, you can absolutely turn any normal pattern into a chain pattern.Do you know how to do triangle starts and triangle ends? You basically need to tie a triangle start and then a triangle end so that the design isn't cut off in any way. After you tied the triangle end, you do your chains and once they have the desired length, you do the next triangle start. Pattern #168521 might be a bit tricky, because the amount of strings is odd, but then you have to just do a slightly lop-sided triangle start and triangle end. |

The strings making the designs will need probably the usual amount of string you would cut, I like to do a wingspan. Make the chaining string longer than the others, and when you think itโs long enough, make it longer just to prevent running out because adding chaining strings in sucks.
