Removing a pattern from “To Do”

I’m new to the site, and I’m not sure how the “to do” feature works. How do I remove the pattern from the list if I decided not to do it? Or do I have to finish the pattern to remove it from the list?

If you are on the website and not the app you can click on the pattern you want to remove, and at the top of the screen where you can "heart the pattern" it should also say, "remove from to do".
