Do you know how to tie alphas? If not, I recommend watching MashaKnots' video on the flat alpha technique. You can start and end alphas similar to normals: with or without a loop, with ties, with shaped starts and ends or without. Is there a specific start you want to learn? |

Also I think it’s best to start off with a simple pattern less than 5 colours and do what’s easy and comfortable first and then learn as you go, like loops are optional for an example and make sure your base strings are long enough.

How do you keep your alphas from like getting stretched out like my finished projects always end up being stretched out kinda, are my knots too loose?

@CAPYBARA06 Use thicker base strings, tie more loosely and push up each row with a ruler after tying it.
