Are you doing a normal or an alpha pattern? When doing an alpha pattern take care to not pull the strings in the back too short. For a normal pattern you could maybe try doing some nice start like a triangle end. I feel like the start gets a lot smoother. Make sure you always do your knots the same way. You can all do them tight or all more loosely. If you use string with different thickness that could also lead to your bracelet being uneven. |

You have to make sure that the first half of the knot you're doing is really tight so that there's no string between the knots. The second half can be looser. Like that you shouldn't have holes in your bracelet. Also what halokiwi said about the sides, I experienced it before that when i'm not doing a start like a triangle or a loop, my bracelet ends up getting thinner after some time. But after a few rows is stays like that. As long as you look out for an even tightness of your knots, and try to make the first half of the knot as tight as possible, it should work.😊 |

Also for this pattern I suggest using at least 8 colors or else it can look kinda weird and you get a scrambled mess and not really the fishbone look
