Saving colors when creating a pattern

Would someone please help me to learn how to save colors when creating a pattern. It will let me add the colors but I just don’t see how to save them and begin creating the pattern. Thank you

Are you making a normal pattern or alpha pattern?

If you are in "draw alpha", just click on a knot to change it to the colour selected.If you are in "interactive normal", click on the beginning or end of the string you want to change to that colour. |
