I'm new to making things but I have a fairly large project I want to start.
I'm considering making a guitar strap for someone and I know I'll need a lot of whatever material I use to complete it.
Is embroidery floss the way to go?
Is there a different material that's better for large projects?
Is there somewhere I can get more than 8m of floss at a time?
I just want to know what the best material may be since I've made all of like 2 bracelets in the past and this is a very large jump I guess.

Thanks for any replies.

I personally wouldn't use embroidery floss to make a guitar strap. I would recommend using a more sturdy material for instance something waxed. You can find waxed string on amazon and micheals has a bunch of thicker string options that you can pick from hope this helps!

Oh! and if you decide to use an embroidery floss material than you can find dmc's petra thread on their website! It has a whole roll of yarn which has a lot of string on one spool. the correct size that is the same thickness as embroidery floss is size 5. The strings also come in size three which i'm pretty sure is slightly thicker.
