Hi, I’ve made a few alphas with the flat alpha technique, but whenever I switch colors, the knot after the switch always has a little bit of the last leading string poking out of it. Idk if it’s an experience thing or I’m missing something, but I’m not sure what to do. Is there any way to fix this? 😊

This isn't always entirely avoidable but here's video from Masha Knots with some great tips for making alpha bracelets. She covers the issue you're describing under "Coloir Switching" https://youtu.be/Q-UWqtTxWls?si=_V9dF1z6iFijnmsOWhat you would do basically is pull the last leading string down a bit. Don't pull too hard and hold tension on the new leading string and the base string while pulling. |
