Hey! I have some questions! Sometimes when I’m making my designs my bracelets will start to twist/fold. How do I keep them flat and prevent it from happening. 2nd question! I’ve noticed some spacing between my knots and was wondering how to make sure the spacing between the knots doesn’t happen! I’m sort of a newbie at making bracelets but it’s going somewhat well so far! |

Hi! So I don't know about the first question but the answer to ur second question is making your knots tighter! Just pull a little harder next time you knot and you should be fine!

You can avoid gaps by pulling the first half of the knot tight before making the second half of the knot. Be careful so the first half doesn't loosen before making the second half.

@ZjS04285 to answer your first question: you can’t really avoid your bracelet twisting when you first start to make it, but once you’ve done a bit of it you can tape it down on a flat surface so it won’t twist as much. Hope this helps!

Halokiwi is right about the knot space issue. For the twisting, I find it helps to make sure you have even knot tension. If your symmetrical patterns are twisting, you're probably unknowingly tying right- or left-hand knots tighter. If the pattern is completely asymmetric (like a candystripe) then the twisting is more due to the structure of the pattern.
