ripping base strings

Hello ๐i jiust started making alphas again. in my first 2 projects my base strings ripped very fast. is there any way to prevent that or fix it after one string ripped? did i do something wrong? thanks |

If your base string rips, you can insert a new one. The video "Alpha Base String Repair Easy Tutorial" by CreationsByClaira explains how:https://youtu.be/K47ogYsEpyw The reasons why your base string broke might be: - low quality: the quality of the string used is low and that's why it broke - too much tension: you pulled too tight on the base string (you need to have tension on the base string, but not too much) - too much friction: you where pulling the knots tight in a way which let the strings to rub against each other for a long time, try to keep strings rubbing against each other as minimal as possible, put your knots as high on the base string as possible from the start and don't put it at the very bottom, so you don't need to pull the knot all the way up while tightening |
