using pattern 38069 how many base strings would i need for the names โcamayaโ and โjadeโ (different keychains) accounting for one blank row on either side PLS HELP

13 for camaya and 15 for jade. You can just count how many pixels tall the letter is and add two for the borders.

I recommend using a piece of graph paper or "draw alpha" in the alpha pattern generator to plan out your design.

@halokiwi i did draw it out on graph paper but i was just a little confused on wether i should use the length or width to decide.

@jadecolema you can use either depending on how you want to tie it. Usually using the lower amount of base strings makes more sense most of the time.
