I recently started making friendship bracelets. I made some when I was younger mainly candy stripes and Chinese staircase. Currently I'm working on pattern 117 and I have weird gaps in my knotting and I'm trying to figure out what I did wrong and how to fix it. I would add the picture, but I don't know how to.

I think your knot tension is different on all knots. Make sure your knots are all pulled with the same tension to make them all identical and shape and size. As for the picture, for the website, in the top right corner of the pattern, there’s an “add photo” button. In the app, click the plus sign in the top right of the pattern’s page, and click “add a photo”. Hope this helps!

Besides on what was already said, I also recommend using the same thickness of string. Using different types/brands/thickness of string may cause gaps and different size of knots in your bracelet.

Make sure to pull UP on your knots to make them closer together. You could also try to use thicker strings.

Trying to find a way to post my bracelet patterns onto the bracelet pattern chat to show the finished product. Does anyone know how to do it on computer?

@maryamuyou you can't post photos in the forum or the chat, but you can post photos to patterns. It's the only way to post photos. Just go to the pattern and click "add a photo", then upload a photo and wait until a moderator accepts it. |

how do you find out how many string go with each color??? like if there are 12 strings and 3 colors do you assume that each color has 4 strings or does it matter????

@skhdbddjj For normals, at the beginning of the pattern, there strings are all colored differently to let you know which string is which color. For alphas, the base strings are white (but you can make them whatever color you want, as they won’t show except for starts and ends), but the actual colors are along the sides of the pattern. Also, if you have your own question about anything, you should probably make your own forum topic to keep things a little more organized. Hope this helps!

@GabikaHere is the answer from our FAQs: How do I add a tutorial? Adding tutorials to the site is possible, but the process is a little bit more difficult than adding all the other content. If you'd like to add one, you first have to prepare it in a word document or a pdf. It would be great if it follows the same structure that our current tutorials have. They're divided into steps, and each step can contain an image/video, title, and text. After all of this is done, and your tutorial is ready, just can send it to us via email. If you don't have our email address yet, please contact an admin to obtain it. Also please don't forget to mention your username, and how difficult you consider your tutorial to be. After receiving your tutorial, our moderators will take a look on it, and if everything's fine, it will be posted to the site. I recommend contacting a moderator instead of an admin for the email address. |

@syd-stitch here is an answer from our FAQs:I have submitted a pattern and it disappeared, how do I get it back? When you submit your pattern for a review, it is moved from your 'Create patterns' section to the administration section of the website, where moderators can take a look at it. It will then either get posted to the website (if accepted), or moved back to your 'Create patterns' section (if declined). How long does it take to get patterns reviewed? Is there a way to see submitted patterns before they are reviewed? The review time depends on the activity of the moderators on certain days and how many patterns are currently waiting to be reviewed. On average, expect your pattern to be reviewed within 24 hours. Unfortunately, there is currently no way to view your pattern on the site before it is reviewed. You may, however, screenshot your pattern, so you still have access to it while you're waiting for it to be reviewed. |

I would tie my first knot tight enough close to previous knot and 2nd a little more loose, and pull up slightly right or left in whatever direction. Also segment knotting helps avoid gaps compared to row by row. Masha knots has a video where she explains the two well.
