Running out of thread / beginning bracelets without a knot

For reference im planning to make a ukulele strap, which is definitely going to require more thread then there is in a single bundle. I’ve never ran into having to add more thread while in a bracelet and I’m wondering if there’s a method to it? Also I’m not sure how to begin bracelets without just making a big knot at the beginning. Id like to leave the beginning and ends of the bracelet open so I can sew them into something using a sewing machine. |

Masha Knots and KinseyB both have some videos on YouTube about adding thread into a bracelet when you need to. For the strap, if you're doing an alpha pattern you could do like a bookmark start where you loop your base threads over another thread with a larkshead knot and that created a nice flat start that you could probably sew to.
