I made a bunch of variations and submitted a couple of patterns and ranked up pretty quickly. You may want to try that.

Upload photos increases your rank. Go to the pattern you want to submit a photo for, at the top of the screen there is an option 'Add a photo'. You can only make patterns and variations on the website, not the app. Go to the pattern, and at the top of the screen there is an option 'Add a variation'. |

Ok, it takes a long time buy here: keep posting patterns, images, and talk in the chat/forums for a while. I don't know if rating and commenting will do anything, but I've been posting tons of photos for 3 months last year and that's how I got bracelet king
