I'm making a normal pattern, a bracelet. How long does the string have to be?

I would say maybe a metre to a metre and a half, it depends on how long you want the tassel to be at the end

The 'classic' length for strings at normals is 90-100 cm if you don't make a loop and if you do and fold your strings in half cut them 190-200 cm. But if a string makes more knots in a pattern than the others cut it a little bit longer and if a string makes only a few knots in the pattern cut it a little bit shorter than the others. Hope that helps! 😊

That does help 🙂 I was looking for this question. What do you do with cut off string bits, do you throw them away, stuff them in a pillow, make something with it? |
