OK, when you need to do a color switch, I just put the colored string that i want to take out under all of the rest of the base strings in the direction I am going. For example, if I am doing backward knots i put it under all of the strings to the left of my last knot. I would do right for forward. then, i tape/clip the string I want to add in on the OPPOSITE side. For example if i am doing backward knots i would tape or clip it on the right side, if i am doing forward knots i would tape or clip it on the left side. Then i put the new color under all of the base strings that already have knots on them. then, just knot on to the next base string and you should be good to go! pls tell me if this makes sense good luck! ๐
